From Nessie and Sasquatch to the Bermuda Triangle and the Land of Mu, our world is filled with the unattainable, the unexplainable... that which we call Myth, or Legend.
Yet, like the Will O' the Wisp, or the ghost breath that sends a shiver down your spine, the truth tugs softly at our conscience. Whispers in the dark of a boogeyman in the shadows, or a fairy spinning gossamer tales in the corners of your mind. They are real. And in so many ways... they are just like you. They work. They feed. They even have children. And just like humans, those children go to school.
School however, isn’t always as just classes and homework. Strange old castles often have far more lurking about them than is so readily apparent. Ancient curses have once been set loose on the school. Memory loss. Sickness. Power switching... Was it an accident? Or are more sinister plans afoot? Will it happen again? Here you just never know...

You know, I just gave up when your rp had to consist of your puppet screwing every version of every canon muse that ever posted in any community you so much as glanced at. I just got tired of all the smut, the ic and ooc need to be the most desired. What your puppet wants is not polyamory but worship on a cult level and I just got tired of being a pair of Nikes in your little compound. So I want my merry way and rp'd happily ever after.
Why can't that be the end? Why do you feel the need to steal my plots and story ideas? Twice before I've seen the seeds of it but this time it's so blatant you might as well just have C&P'd it all and changed the names to protect the real rpers.
If your creativity well has run dry, give it up but stop stealing from those that won't give you the time of day. | |

Ok, so. I'm in a private rp. And it was off, so I started trying to think what it was, and after a few minutes, the list was big enough that I realized I just wasn't enjoying the rp.
Now I'm quite sure this person isn't looking for any crit, or improvement suggestions. I'm actually pretty sure they're looking for some soft core yuri sexins. Which is fine and dandy, but as I'm pretty not into smut RPing, is part of the problem. I've pretty much come to the conclusion that were just not compatible in style and content, and we're not super close or far into it.
What I'm wondering is, if I should say something which doesn't seem to me like it'd lead to anything but hurt feelings, or just passively end the rp and let things rest? I've been racking my brain for something tactful to say, but everything seems to amount to "You suck*" which seems kinda douche to say to someone just looking for fun. She already thinks I have crazy weird hours.
*I really think it's not so much that she sucks is that we don't match well, but I also can't think of a nice way to say THAT without sounding like an epic cop-out of saying "you suck". | |

Out of town kids live in the dorms, but the new York-bred teens live in the city. Rich kids, kids on scholarships; you find people from every social class here.
Some people have known each other for years, others don't know anyone. But there are a few that everyone knows. The elite. The cliques. Two cliques, the Ruling & The Rivals, dominate the school, both fighting for the same precious spot.

Upon observing my favorite Sue (I like her player, and as a result end up playing with the Sue a lot), a question has come to me.
What's the point of even RPing if your character is so perfect and untouchable? I kind of enjoy the idea of there being consequences for a character screwing up, since it keeps RP moving and dramatic when necessary, but... if your character never screws up... how is that fun at all? How can you build to anything if they're always right? How do they learn anything?

On September 1st, 2001 Rodolphus and Rabastan went ahead with the plan. At first it didn't seem to have worked, but despite the perceived failure the act had a costly effect on Rodolphus. Magically drained, prematurely aged and furious at his failure, Rodolphus and his brother started planning again. What they didn't know, until days later, was that the stone worked. It returned Voldemort in all his youthful glory to life. However, instead of reappearing where they wanted him to (the ballroom of Lestrange Manor), Voldemort returned to where he died: Hogwarts, whereupon he was promptly captured by the teachers and imprisoned by the Ministry. What they also did not know was that the stone was to have a far greater effect than they expected. Your character's name is instantly recognizable to anyone who knows anything about the particular race of people your character belongs to. Writing her craptastically does not make her original, it just makes her a craptastically written canon character. (canon may not be the right word, but I use it to denote a character with a predetermined backstory, as opposed to an OC) Please to not be adding to your failure of epic proportion by claiming credit for something you didn't create, kthx.
